Nominations are called for Committee members for the 2017/18 season. It is proposed that an election of Committee positions will be held at the Annual Awards night on Saturday 5th of August. For those that are not attending the Awards night please advise if you are interested in voting.
I understand that this is a change to how the committee is generally elected, however considering that in previous years only a few members decided on the committee, it was considered that it was better to allow the wider membership a chance to vote. in the last few years the number who have actually voted on Committee positions has never been more than 10 and a few years ago only 5 people decided on the committee.
Please note I will not be standing for President and I would strongly suggest that new blood is urgently required to face the challenges of the next 5 years.
